PatientRightsAdvocate.org’s sent the letter below to Congress, highlighting the latest findings of its Eighth Hospital Price Transparency Compliance Report and highlighting the importance of the bipartisan Patients Deserve Price Tags Act.

PRA’s latest review of 2,000 hospitals subject to the federal Hospital Price Transparency Rule found that compliance rose to the highest level ever recorded, 49.4%. However, hospitals continue to post incalculable algorithms and percentages, in lieu of actual, dollar-and-cents prices, leaving patients in the dark.
