New Polling Indicates Healthcare Price Transparency as Key Midterms Issue

A new poll from PatientsRightsAdvocate.Org (PRA) conducted by Echelon Insights found that “American voters want to receive real prices, not estimates, for health care services before they receive care – and they are willing to reward leaders who make this a reality sooner rather than later.”

The poll was conducted among Likely Electorate voters nationwide September 17-23.

Key Findings:

  • Half of all voters – with 45% of independent voters – said they would be more likely to support a candidate in the midterms if that candidate “helped Donald Trump deliver actual prices before care to patients.”

  • 66% of voters said the government should start requiring insurers to provide actual prices before patients receive care “as soon as possible.”

  • 89% of voters said they support “new federal regulations [that] will require patients receive actual prices” before they receive care.
