New Poll: An Unparalleled 96% of Americans Support Healthcare Price Transparency

This level of support is extraordinary in today’s political landscape

PatientRightsAdvocate.org (PRA) released a new poll conducted by Echelon Insights finding that the overwhelming majority of Americans support real, upfront prices in healthcare.

 
 

Key findings include:

  • 96% agree that Americans “deserve to know the price of their healthcare before they receive it.”

  • Among voters who are deeply concerned about cost of living:

    • 94% agree that “lower healthcare prices will be a big deal for American families trying to get by.”

    • 83% agree that “Price transparency will help bring down healthcare costs in America by making it harder for hospitals or insurers to overcharge patients.”

  • 94% agree that “To make America healthy again, healthcare consumers must be able to seek the care they need without the fear and uncertainty caused by hidden prices and surprise bills.”

  • 83% support President Trump’s Feb. 2025 Executive Order “Making America Healthy Again by Empowering Patients with Clear, Accurate, and Actionable Healthcare Pricing Information.”  

The poll was conducted April 21-23 among voters nationwide in the Likely Electorate.
